Research conducted in Korea on obese women who completed light resistance training using 0.5 - 1 kg dumbbells and rubber bands were shown to induce a reduction in body weight and body fat while increasing the women's overall health and wellbeing.
This very light resistance exercise was enough to cause significant changes in these women's overall weight, which just goes to show that overall health can be achieved by everyone who chooses to do so.
